Just two simple blocks nestle together to create a sparkling star quilt.  The prairie points overlaid in the border add a fun dimensional element and a little extra twinkle.  They are really very easy to make.

Bright colors as in the quilt pictured make this a winner with kids of all ages but this pattern grows up well with other fabric choices too.  Choose your palette and let it sparkle!  See this blog post for alternate color ideas.

This bright breezy flying geese quilt comes together surprisingly quickly. It is stunning in rainbow colours as shown here but would be equally effective in more subdued palettes.
The 1/4 yard cuts of fabric allow quick and easy strip piecing of the piano key border and greatly reduce the number of individual patches that need to be cut. However, if you prefer to use smaller scraps the pattern also lists the required number and sizes of patches required to piece the quilt without strip-piecing.

The quilt measures 57" x 71".

  2. I love the look of the String of Diamonds Placemats. But I downloaded the pattern and followed the directions and everything was wrong. I finally figured it was the diamond/square size of 3-7/8 that was wrong, creating the need to increase all the other parts. That made the placemats too large. What is the correct size of that diamond?

    1. You are correct. The square A should be 3-3/8". I apologize for the error. I have corrected the pattern and the updated version can be downloaded free by following the link listed above. Thank you for your feedback.

  6. I would really like the Geese Across the Table pattern. When I sign into PayPal, it says they can't process right now. When I go directly into PayPal from my computer, I have no problem. Is there a problem with your site?
