I'm such a ditherer and it takes forever to decide how I'll quilt a project. I have a hard time figuring out how to quilt things too. In the white space, maybe echoing to fill in the space. To get ideas sometimes I search "quilting designs for (block name or description) in Pinterest. The old saying "...I like very simple quilting. The old saying "the quilting makes the quilt" doesn't work for me. I like the fabric and the design to be the main focus. So if I were quilting this I might just line up my 2" painters tape (that looks about the size of your diamonds) with the diamonds and make a cross-hatched background. I love all of your versions of this quilt. Good luck finishing! But I don't know that SITD lends itself to this quilt, with all of the open space. But that is what I would do, not what the quilt wants. Have you set it up on the long arm yet? Maybe it will start to talk once it is all prepped up? Anywho! Good luck with this beauty. ;^)Chantalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14772079099766225814noreply@blogger.com
