|8 snowflakes finished, 18 more to go! Block patterns are in the Etsy shop!|
All these snow days have also given me extra time to think about Canuck Quilter Designs and whether I want to keep moving it forward, and if so how best to do that. Right along with several other states, Iowa has passed new sales tax legislation and the new law complicates my online pattern download sales. I've been thinking about what to do next, and I hope you can help me with part of that.
I'd like to introduce more bricks and mortar quilt shops to Canuck Quilter Designs patterns. Mailing sample patterns to every quilt shop in the country isn't feasible, but perhaps a carefully selected subset would be. So, what is your favourite quilt shop and where is it located? I'd like to send them a pattern or two! Please let me know in the comments or email me at email@example.com.
If you are a pattern instant download fan, don't worry. I am in the process of moving my online shop to Etsy, as they have more features to help me stay compliant with tax laws. I have all my full-length patterns listed and the shop is open for business. To celebrate this step forward, I'm having a sale! I hope you'll check it out and spread the word.
I'm off to to sew more snowflakes now...
**Update March 16, 2018: I missed that the graphic I used here was missing the sale dates, so I am extending the sale to March 18th. No coupon required.**
I don't know how you create such beautiful snowflake patterns! Each one is so very special. I have no answers for you marketing question, but I'm sure you will make the right decision. ---"Love"ReplyDelete
I think Two Thimbles in Bellingham, WA might want to carry your patters. Here is a link to their website https://twothimbles.com/ They carry both modern and reproduction fabrics! Great shop and great ladies who run in. Good luck!ReplyDelete
My favorite shop is Quilter's Cupboard in Atascadero, California.ReplyDelete
The snow flakes are looking beautiful!
I recently visited a shop in Pacific Grove, CA that is very impressive! backporchfabrics.com They had lots of stock in both modern and traditional fabrics, and a big teaching room with many sample quilts on display. I remember specifically noticing that they had lots of patterns for sale. I assume that means they sell lots of them.ReplyDelete
Your snowflakes look so good! I wish I didn't have so many "have-tos" and I could toss everything aside and play with those patterns!ReplyDelete
Hmmm, my favorite quilt shop is more geared toward Civil War fabrics, but there is a very popular local quilt shop--and they have expanded to have stores in two other communities as well. The name is My Girlfriend's Quilt Shoppe, in Logan, Sandy, and Midway, Utah.
Minei is in Leamington, Ontario A Stitch in Time. I can ask them if they'd be interested! I have a $50 gc I bought myself that I still haven't spent ha! Love your fabric snowflakes, not the real ones. We have no snow, although a chance today, though there's barely a cloud in the sky right now and I'm basking in the sun as I type... So Payhip isn't working for you? I'm on Etsy, just have to move more stuff from Craftsy over there. Always takes time, time away from sewing. Can you do the popup link to Etsy like you did with Payhip? I haven't investigated....ReplyDelete
Love those snowflakes, you are so creative! I have tow shops that I like close to me. Quilt Works in Albuquerque, NM and Busy Bee in Edgewood, NM. You can find web sites for both online. Hope that helps a little!ReplyDelete
I love your patterns! My quilt shop is Finally Together Quilting in Lebanon, Oregon. Paula, the owner is always looking for new and cool things to carry. I think she would love to hear from you!ReplyDelete
is there a code to apply the discount in your etsy shop?ReplyDelete
I apologize for the confusion. I had not noticed that the graphic I used for the blog did not include the sale dates. While the sale ended on March 3, I have now renewed it to March 18th (see update in the post above) to make up for the confusion. No coupon needed, the sale prices are automatic in the shop. Thanks for reaching out!Delete
