Swap blocks done

Ta da! All my swap blocks are done. I made 4 extra to make a table topper for my kitchen table and borrowed one to make my layout come out even. I'm auditioning layouts for when I get all your blocks, swappers!

Looking at this I've decided I need to replenish my stash of blues and make myself a blue and white quilt. I'd bought all this fabric a few years back for just that purpose but never got around to it. Now I'm inspired to make one after all. Eventually. Once I have a few more quilts moved off the UFO and WIP lists. (For my family who isn't familiar with the terms, that's "unfinished object" and "work in-progress").

Lisa and Katie, your blocks are now in the post office's custody, on their way to you.

  1. That looks beautiful! I can't wait to get my blocks. I had thought about setting my blocks on point, so I'm glad you demonstrated for us! And I'm giggling a little at your belated decision to make a blue and white quilt...

  3. Those are gorgeous blocks. I can hardly wait until it is my turn. I'm so happy knowing I will be getting some blue blocks from you.

They do look good on point, too. Will have to give that some thought. I'm anxious to see how everyone put their quilts together.

A blue and white quilt sounds great but you will have to go shopping again for the fabric. No problem there, that will be fun.

  6. Your blocks are just fabulous. I originally thought it must be hard for you to part with them, but I can understand why it has sparked your interest to start again with a new assortment of blues. Who can pass up the chance to shop again? Hmm...maybe my scrap quilt should be on point? Great job, Joanne! Mary

  7. They are fantastic Joanne! They look so good in that layout and I think it's not going to be easy for you to give them away. We are very lucky indeed to be receiving them. Thanks! Ann :-)

And speaking of shopping...my hubby offered to take me by JoAnn's today and I said no thanks. He checked my forehead and asked if he was in trouble...LOL;) I said no, I just really don't want anything right now;)
    Happy Quilting!!
